Oh My it has been awhile!
I have been so not interested in being on the puter in the last few months, dunno why but I haven't been interested in blogs, forums and scrapping - overloaded maybe?? I was even getting worried that I might be over the whole scrapping thing entirely. But nope the mojo is back and I have been busy scrapping over the past few weeks. Like alot of other scrappers I have been pressuring myself too much to be more creative on each page than the last and to create something publishable each time I scrap, add to that my overload on applying for Design Teams and my new role in scrapping to a deadline and I was not enjoying it at all. So I have decided to just scrap for fun again and not to worry how it looks more to get the memory down IKWIM. Which has been a weight off the old shoulders and has allowed my mojo to rear its wee head and so I have a few pages to share. Some are old ones I hadn't finished or photographed but some new ones too.
First up is one I actually did before I went to scrap camp! I hadn't finished sewing it and it has been waiting to be photographed for a few months now. Aislinn and Tazzy in the woolshed. Good old scenic route and a bit of handsewing (am over that at the moment too!!)
This next one is my gorgeous wee neice Greer on the day she was born. I did this one at scrap camp and have had to pull it to bits and redo the photo after a drip of something ruined it. Isn't she gorgeous?? Love the MM pp totally not what I envisioned was supposed to be all pink and cream LOL.
Ok this is my fave of late, I just love this pic of Quinn and Peter off to work. It was raining a little so Q decided he needed to wear his goggles to keep the rain outta his eyes - such a crack up!
This is the first time I have used one of those new bazzill with the fancy edges, all about how my baby talks with an american accent - I kid you not! For something different I journalled in coloured pencil and inked the back of the ghost alphas. Even put the title on the photo! The pic was actually taken last march while she was gabbing away.
Last friday we took the kids over to Napier to the aquarium and on the way home I persuaded dh to stop at Scrapbooking 2DMax in Waipukurau and bought this fab CI pp, unusual for me to scrap using the paper as a jump off point rather than the pic. I really like how this came out even though I wasted a whole sheet of bazzill to make one ring! Borders running horizontally are the new crate paper.
Onto todays scrapping, this is Quinn at his school atheletics (prob the last post I did on here LOL) scraplifted from the sketch in the latest SC. Simple and gets the story down.
This one is a total scraplift out of the same issue of SC, I knew I wanted to use the colour me silly with this pic and loved how this LO looked in the mag - this version is pretty good too LOL, I think she had punched out the black circles I cut em outta black paper and stuck em on. This is Quinn and his 2 mates at school that I call the terrible 3, the teacher even resorts to seperating them on occasion as they are so easily distracted by each other.
Lastly for the pages, I whipped this one up, Miss Bean and her new look - finally got her hair all chopped off after getting sick of the howling everytime I brushed it. Sooo cute adn grown up looking. Acrylic letters are Heidi Grace - check out what i did to them in the next Up2Scrap.
Here is a birthday card I did recently for my WSM.
Woohoo only 10 days till the end of the holidays - can you tell I am sick of a certain 5 year old asking me every morning "Am I going to school today mum?" who invented summer holidays?? Cruel and unusual punishment to parents!! The kids are off to my mum's tomorrow for a couple of days which will be nice for them and me!!.
I will try and get on here while they are away and put some pic from the holidays on here, better go and chase the bull off my front lawn!
