Run Quinny Run!!

Today was the inter school athletics, between all the local schools here, Apiti, Kimbolton, Cheltenhem, Waituna West and Rangiwahia. Off to Feilding we headed to watch our first school activity for Quinn. Made you laugh watching these 5 year olds who hadn't yet got the concept of how races are run.

Here are the terrible three, Tom, Quinn and Cole waiting to run in the sprints.

Quinny not realising everyone else has started running cos he is watching the spectators LOL!

The tongue I think is supposed to help him run faster but seemed to actually slow him down (either that or he has his mother's atheletic ability)

Onto the throwing or kids version of shot put, he did ok at this, coming in the middle of the pack - the tongue must be better for throwing!

Now over to the long distance running, I felt so sad for him cos he was last by a mile, I remember being the one who was always last and it broke my heart to see him so far behind.Thankfully it didn't bother him and he was happy to run it again as a fun run.

Lastly we had the long jump, it rained so hard that it was all called off and we only missed doing the high jump and quoits. He enjoyed himself and it will be interesting to see whether he gets the concept next year.

We were rather cold and wet, there was a howling gale and showers before the rain set in so we decided we need to invest in some golf umbrellas if we are gonna be spending any time on the sportsfield watching the kids.

Well better go and eat my pizza - am getting told off for being on the puter LOL.
